Burlington’s highly anticipated Festival of Lights will be making a comeback this year just in time for the holidays.

The festival, which is known for illuminating the city’s waterfront, will take place at Spencer Smith Park from Nov. 26, 2021, to Jan. 8, 2022.

This year, the event is celebrating its 26th anniversary.

Over the years, it has become an annual tradition for many residents to wander through the park with their family and friends to look at the themed displays.

Most of the festival’s displays can also be viewed from the comfort of your vehicle while driving along Lakeshore Road at the city’s waterfront throughout the holiday season.

Visitors do not need to have a ticket or pay an admission fee to enter the Festival. Additionally, they are welcome to bring their dogs.

Residents are reminded that while the festival does not provide any food or beverages, there are many great restaurants nearby.

The lights will be displayed daily from 4:00 p.m. to midnight with some extended hours on holidays.
