Burlington will host a COVID-19 telephone town hall this week

The City of Burlington will be hosting another COVID-19 telephone town hall this week.

On Wednesday night (Sept. 22) from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward will be joined by a panel of local leaders to address community questions.

The City says this upcoming series of meetings will focus on vaccine rollout and impacts on city programs and services related to the virus.

Burlington residential phone numbers will be randomly selected to be part of the telephone town hall, but participation is voluntary.

Residents who would like to be added to the telephone call list can email [email protected] by the end of the day on Sept. 21.

Anyone who has registered for a previous town hall is not required to do so again and those that did not receive an invite can call 1-800-759-5198 before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday to join. People can also listen in on YourTV on Cogeco or the YourTV Halton Youtube page.

Once the call begins, a moderator will provide participants with instructions for how to submit their questions to the leadership panel.

More information can be found on the city’s website.
