Burlington swimming pool set for $6.5 million upgrade

A popular Burlington swimming pool is set to get a $6.5 million facelift.
Work on Mountainside Pool on Mt. Forest Dr. has already started and should be completed for swimmers by next summer, according to City officials.
Some of the upgrades on the outdoor facility will include a redesign and complete replacement of the existing pool and deck.
As well, a rock climbing wall, slide, spray features and a shade area will be installed in addition to accessibility improvements.
The City says renovations are needed because the pool is now 60-years-old and many of the features are outdated.
