Burlington hospital seeks community members to sit on board

Joseph Brant Hospital is looking for people to be a board member or community representatives in Burlington.

The hospital is recruiting two new board members who reflect the hospital’s needs and aspirations with respect to knowledge, attributes, competencies and experience.

According to a hospital spokesperson, the ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership and governance experience and a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission and values.

The top candidates will be reflective of the diverse community JBH serves; has previous board governance experience; has or is working towards a Chartered Director or Institute of Corporate Directors designation or equivalent, which is considered an asset.

To complement the existing directors’ background, the voard is interested in leaders who possess these core competencies as well as any of the following experience profiles: Government Relations/Community Relationship; Patient and Healthcare Advocacy; and People and Human Resources

JBH is also seeking up to three representatives to serve on its Digital Health Strategy Committee of the Board.

Potential candidates will be members of the community and area served by JBH with demonstrated commitment through participation in community endeavours, whether as a board member or in a volunteer capacity.

To complement the existing committee skillsets, the Board is interested in individuals who have skills/expertise in: Digital Design from an end-user perspective – both patient and healthcare provider; Digital Technology from a technical perspective; Change Management and Large Transformation experience.
