Burlington and Hamilton drivers who use the Burlington Canal lift bridge will have to look for alternative routes for a couple of weeks.
The bridge will be closed for repair work beginning today, Oct. 29, to Monday, Nov. 15, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Public Services and Procurement Canada made the announcement on Twitter.
During this period, the bridge will close occasionally, for various lengths of time, between the times specified above. These closures will include sidewalks, and the north and south vehicle lanes. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists can expect delays.
The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge.
