The highlight of the calendar for Burlington foodies is back.

Whether it’s a great pizza, fancy fusion or gourmet dining, there’s something for everyone at this year’s Taste of Burlington, which kicked off this week with 29 area restaurants offering a prix fixe menu.

Accommodating these pandemic times, much of the program has gone virtual.

Participants can sign up free online and the passports will only be available for your mobile device. You can view the participating establishments and the prix-fixe menus. Everyone will be eligible to win weekly giveaways and a grand prize of a $500 gift card.

Meals will be available for eat-in, patio and takeout, again recognizing the COVID-19 issue.

A new component of the event this year is Live Music Wednesday, sponsored by the Sound of Music Festival.

One restaurant each week will have a live performance for Taste of Burlington patrons.

Here’s the schedule:

  • October 6 – Shaun Mulrain at The Port House
  • October 13 – Tim Park at District Kitchen & Bar
  • October 20 – Eric Mills at The Dickens
