Burlington Festival Lights downtown Christmas holiday

Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park is about to get lit up like a Christmas tree.

The city is kicking off the Burlington Festival of Lights starting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 26).

The park will be lit up with festive decorations from 4:00 p.m. to Midnight daily until Jan 8, and there will be extended hours on Christmas eve, Christmas day, New Years Eve and Orthodox Christmas.

This year marks the 26th anniversary for the Festival of Lights event, and the tradition allows residents to wander through the park with their family and friends to look at the themed displays.

There is no cost for the event and families are welcome to stroll around the park at their leisure.
