Burlington Canal Lift Bridge closure this week; Hamilton commutors take note

Motorists in Hamilton may want to leave extra time before travelling on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge this week.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) issued an advisory regarding scheduled lane closures on Thursday.
One lane will be closed in each direction for maintenance.
PSPC says three lanes will remain open “at all times in their respective directions.”
There will be two flag persons on-site to redirect traffic.

The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected during the lane closures.
The work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
