Bridge replacement to cause extended road closure in Milton

The Town of Milton is currently replacing the Second Line Nassagaweya bridge and a road closure is required for this work.

Second Line Nassagaweya from No. 10 Side Rd. to No. 15 Side Rd. will now be closed until Aug. 31.

The closure was initially set to end on Aug. 19, but due to weather, supply chain issues and unforeseen conditions, it has been extended.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding, #MiltonON!” said the Town on Twitter.

This project includes the replacement of the structure, repairing asphalt wearing surface over the structure and restoring and grading works at the structure ends.

Traffic can use First Line Nassagaweya, No.10 Side Rd. and No.15 Side Rd. as alternative routes.

While construction timelines are dependent on many factors, including weather, all road closures can be found using the Town’s interactive road closure map.
