The demolition of a bridge will lead to detours for both drivers and pedestrians in Burlington and Hamilton this weekend.

The work will take place over the QEW and affect north-south traffic on North Shore Blvd. Detours will take drivers along Maple Ave., Plains Rd. E., and King Rd.

However, access ramps from North Shore to both the eastbound and westbounds lanes of the highway will remain open

A shuttle service will also be available for pedestrians to get around the road closure.

North Shore will be closed over the bridge from 10 p.m. today (May 28) to 1 p.m. tomorrow (May 29).

Police will be on hand to direct traffic through the area.
