Losing a beloved restaurant is never easy, but sometimes the sting is diminished by the appearance of a brand new food spot.

Recently, diners were disappointed to discover that Little Manila Big Flavours, located on Rathburn Road, had closed down. But while the news was sad, the restaurant confirmed that the location was purchased by the Hey Noodles brand.

And now, it looks like Hey Noodles is open and serving customers.

The brand new Hey Noodles restaurant is Mississauga’s first location. The Chinese brand also operates locations in Toronto, Markham and Richmond Hill.

The popular Sichuanese restaurant offers a range of fun appetizers, including duck gizzard, pig trotters, quail eggs, popcorn chicken, edamame, braised bean curd, fish tofu and more.

As far as mains go, the restaurant allows you to create your own bowl by offering a choice of protein (Szechuan-style beef brisket, minced pork, pork belly, pork intestine, lamb and more), noodles (regular noodles or hot and sour vermicelli), soup level, spice level and toppings.

Some signature noodle dishes include noodles with tomato and beef brisket, noodles with stewed chicken and mushroom, Chongqing street noodles, dry noodles with chilli peppers and more.

The brand also offers wonton soup and rice dishes.

So if you have a hankering for noodles, Hey Noodles might be more than worth checking out.
