Brampton power outage affecting thousands

Nearly 4,500 customers of Alectra Utilities in Brampton were affected by a power outage late on Friday night.
The utility’s outage map shows that the outage is in a long, narrow west-southwest-running strip in the city, running up to the Main and Hurontario streets area. Crews have already been dispatched and the expected time of resumption is 2 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Officially, 4,477 businesses and homes are affected.

Any intersections where traffic lights are not working due to the lack of power should be treated as a four-way stop.
