Two Brampton streets closed after major collision

Two roads in Brampton were closed on Tuesday night after a multi-vehicle collision that sent a pair of injured people to a trauma centre.
Peel Regional Police says its major collision bureau is on the scene of the crash to investigate. Countryside Drive is closed between Frobischer Drive and Yellow Avens Boulevard. Mountainash Road is closed at Welland Road.
The initial report, which police received around 8 p.m., was that two vehicles collided at Countryside Drive and Mountainash Road. One vehicle rolled over and a pedestrian was also struck.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area. Reconstructing a collision can often take several hours. Anyone with dash cam or surveillance footage is asked to contact the Peel police at 905-453-3311.
The extent of the physical injuries suffered by the two injured people is unknown.
