Brampton motorcycle crash sends one man to hospital

A motorcycle rider in Brampton is in hospital after a crash on Thursday afternoon (July 14).

Peel Regional Police say officers were called about a collision in the area of Torbram Rd. and Steeles Ave. East in Brampton around 2:15 p.m.

Police say there was a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle, and the adult male on the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

The condition of the man was not immediately released by police.

Emergency crews have closed westbound traffic on Steels Ave. at Torbram Rd., and police say drivers should avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.

Police also responded to a pedestrian-involved collision in Brampton shortly after the motorcycle incident.

Around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday (July 14), Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Airport Rd. and Bovaird Dr.

Police say a vehicle and pedestrian were involved in a collision, and the male adult pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
