A house in the Bramalea neighbourhood in Brampton was recently sold for $24,000 below the listed price, a reversal of the long-time upward trend.
Located on Mackay St. N. in the Central Park area of the city, the house sold for $1.375 million at the beginning of March. The asking price was $1.399 million and was on the market for seven days.
However, the house had previously sold just 10 months ago for $995,000.
The average price for homes sold in this neighbourhood – which saw 30 properties exchange hands in February of this year – has been $1.03 million.
The detached backsplit is on a 70 by 120-foot lot with a large backyard and a basement apartment. It has four bedrooms, three baths, parking for two vehicles and an open concept living area.
It is close to a bus stop, Highway 410 and two high schools.
