Police have charged a Brampton man months after a crash that killed a 74-year-old in Caledon.

The fatal collision happened just before 4 p.m. on July 7 in Caledon on Old Church Road near Humber Station Road, the OPP says.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash and four people were injured.

The victims were rushed to hospital in various conditions but a 74-year-old from Toronto was later pronounced dead, police said. Following the crash police put out a call asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or had dashcam footage to contact investigators.

The OPP has charged a 27-year-old male of Brampton with one count of fail to yield to traffic on through highway.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Caledon court on Jan. 31 to answer the charge.
