A stunning 4 bedroom, two-storey home in Brampton just sold for more than a quarter million dollars below the asking price.

The upgraded detached home on Danielsgate Rd in Brampton’s Mayfield Village community had been on and off the market since late January, at one being listed just shy of $2,000,000.

Selling for $1,500,000 just last week, the house was last listed at $1,799,900.

The home boasts between 2,500 and 3,000 square feet of living space, with 4+2 bedrooms, a two-car garage and a modern kitchen with updated appliances and a centre island.

With hardwood floors on the main floor and staircase and tile flooring throughout, there is no carpet in the entire house. There is also a living room and a family room with a gas fireplace, as well as a large dining room.

It also has a finished basement with a full kitchen and separate entrance, which could be converted into its own rental unit. According to a post on HouseSigma.com, the home has an estimated rental income value of $3,678.

A report from Bullpen Research & Consulting and TorontoRentals.com found the average renter in Brampton paid over 4 per cent more for lodging last month than they did during the same time last year, and the average price for rental units across the Greater Toronto Area have spiked in nearly every municipality or community.
