Brampton is bringing Pride celebrations back with in-person performances after two years of virtual events.

With live music, comedians and a wide range of performances, Brampton is celebrating the city’s diverse community and raise awareness of issues facing the LGBTQ+ community.

Hosted content creator and advocate Daniel Pillai, this year’s event theme is “Justice is Joy” and includes a headlining show by drag star Priyanka, the Season 1 winner of Canada’s Drag Race, as well as local acts like electro-R&B performer R. Flex, percussionist Hemant Patel and violinist Brigit O’Regan.

There will also be food from local Downtown Brampton restaurants, giveaways, information booths from local community partners and plenty of other attractions.

You can also catch Drag Storytime with drag artists Fay and Fluffy, comedian and storyteller, Denise Mcleod and Jadoo Entertainment Dance Company.

And to keep the party going there is an after party on The Rose Patio featuring Canadian-Tamil DJ, producer and recording artist Lady Pista.

Brampton Celebrates Pride kicks off at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19 and runs until 7:00 p.m.
