Police are looking for a suspect after someone allegedly fired a BB gun from a vehicle in Brampton this afternoon (June 2).
Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of Father Tobin Rd. and Bramalea Rd. in Brampton around 12:20 p.m. for reports of “someone shooting a possible airsoft gun from a vehicle.”
An airsoft gun commonly fires plastic pellets and often can be made to look like a real firearm.
There are a number of schools in the area but a police spokesperson told Insauga.com said that no lockdowns or hold-and-secure orders have been issued.
No injuries were reported but police also say that the suspect vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run crash shortly after the suspected BB gun incident near Sandalwood Heights and Torbram Rd.
Police have not released a description of the suspect vehicle or any potential suspects but said officers are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
