Caledon tops happiest cities list with average home price of $1.4 million

A pair of properties for sale in Brampton and Caledon have gained a lot of attention online and ended up on a list of the most-viewed homes for sale in all of Canada.

The rankings come from real estate website Zoocasa which tallied the most popular listings across Canada in September which includes a host of Ontario properties including two in the Region of Peel.

The first is an amazing sprawling mansion in Caledon with secret passages, a ’50s diner and even its own indoor shooting range which was recently featured on Insauga.com as Brampton’s house of the week.

This one-of-a-kind estate located at 9 Flaherty Ln. in north Caledon boasts an astonishing 20,000 square feet of living space on 10.6 acres of forested property that includes three ponds with their very own waterfall and gazebo.

The impressive home has six bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with high-end appliances and a fully finished basement, but it’s the extras – like secret passageways and a karaoke party room – that really make this property stand out.

While not nearly as expansive as the Caledon castle, a high-end Brampton home at 9 Delambray St. also made Zoocasa’s list of the most-viewed listings in September.

The three-bedroom home has between 1,500 and 2,000 square feet of living space on a premium corner lot and a custom kitchen with upgraded cabinetry, dark hardwood floors and upgraded light fixtures.

On the outside, the property has a custom composite deck with built-in lights, a spacious backyard with an in-ground sprinkler system.
