A GO bus struck a boy riding a scooter in the City Centre of Mississauga on Thursday afternoon.
The bus was making a right turn when it collided with a 14-year-old boy at Burhamthorpe Road West and Duke of York Boulevard at approximately 4:30 p.m., a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.
The teen received minor injuries.
“Thanks to the boy wearing all of his safety equipment, his injuries were minor,” the spokesperson said.
Photos posted on Reddit show the bus stopped behind yellow police tape at the Burhamthorpe Road West and Duke of York Boulevard intersection. It appears the bus had turned onto Duke of York Boulevard.
The roadway was closed for a short time.
There is no word on any charges. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
