A beloved lavender farm in Milton has announced its permanent closure.

Since 2014, Terre Bleu has been known for being an iconic destination for summer Instagram photos due to its picturesque lavender fields.

Recently, the farm announced in a heartfelt Facebook post that due to having been sold, it would be closing its doors to the public for good.

“As many of you already know, the Terre Bleu farm has been sold and is now permanently closed to visitors. But as one yellow door closes, another one opens and, this time, it is in the village of Elora,” read the Facebook post.

While the farm is closing, both the iconic yellow door and the Terre Bleu brand have found a new home in a boutique located in downtown Elora, which is about an hour from Milton.

“It is a perfect fit for both the town and our brand. Perched high on the edge of a spectacular gorge, Elora is one of Ontario’s most beautiful villages, attracting thousands of visitors every year.”

The post promised that the new venture would provide a “one-of-a-kind experience” for Terre Bleu’s loyal following and long-term clients.

The new boutique, which is set to open sometime this month at 143 Metcalfe St., is nestled in an 1865 heritage building in the heart of Elora’s shopping district and will showcase the brand’s beloved lavender products.

The post concluded by announcing a “spectacular new farm” that is expected to open in spring 2023.
