Beer-focused, night market-inspired restaurant opens in Hamilton

A unique dining experience can be had at one of Hamilton’s trendiest new restaurants. After a series of pop-ups throughout the city, the night market-inspired Chinese-Malaysian eatery has set up shop at 301 Barton St. East.
Fisticuffs is inspired by the grandmother of owner Caitlin Chee. It re-imagines classic Asian flavours while offering family-style dining and a beer-focused menu.
Fisticuffs’ Chinese-Malaysian snack food menu includes crispy satay chicken with coconut floss, sambal sauced prawns, and chilli crunch eggplant with red shiso. If you’re craving sweets, Fisticuffs also offers kaya french toast.
The food is meant to be paired with Fisticuffs’ beer and cider menu. You can also order an extravagant teapot, like Cold Tea, which contains jasmine tea, rye, Thai basil syrup, passion fruit, lemon, and passion fruit boba.
