Lovers of this iconic Canadian dessert will be happy to hear it’s finally coming to a permanent location in Mississauga.

BeaverTails is expected to open in Streetsville at 213 Queen St S., taking over the spot formerly occupied by Butter Chicken Roti (which closed down in April due to alleged failed rent payments totaling over $27,000).

The chain is known primarily for their sugary sweet beaver tail-shaped pastries with a wide variety of topping choices: Chocolate hazelnut spread, maple spread, peanut butter, bananas, cheesecake spread, brownie pieces, crushed Oreo cookies, Reese’s Pieces, and more.

They also have fries, poutine, hotdogs wrapped in a pastry, ice cream, lemonade, and smoothies.

While BeaverTails has brought food trucks to Mississauga before, namely at Celebration Square events, this will be the city’s first real location.

The chain currently operates numerous locations across Canada and internationally in the U.S., Mexico, France, Japan, and United Arab Emirates.

No opening date has been confirmed yet for the new Streetsville location, which already has signage up.
