Police suspect arson is the cause of a ongoing fire by train tracks in Brampton.

A fire broke out by the train tracks near Kennedy Rd S and Orenda Ct, a hybrid area populated by industrial, commercial and residential buildings.

Peel Regional Police announced the blaze at quarter to 7 p.m. ten minutes after getting the 911 call. They report heavy smoke has filled the area.

Additionally, Police say witness saw two men igniting brush near the train track just prior to the blaze’s eruption.
