Arrest made in targeted murder of Brampton teen

Police say 19-year-old Jahleel McKoy of Brampton was shot and killed in March.

An arrest has been made in connection to the targeted murder of a Brampton teen early this year.

On March 1, 19-year-old Jahleel McKoy was gunned down in the area of Cresthaven Rd. and Torada Crt. Reports indicate shots were heard in the area and when Peel Police officers arrived at the scene they found the victim dead as a result of his injuries.

At the time police indicated McKoy was targeted as they began their investigation.

Today (May 26), investigators arrested and charged Tylan Singh, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, with one count of first degree murder in connection with the case.

Singh was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton the same day. Police have not indicated if he is still in custody.
