Friday will be the last day to enjoy some sunny weather in Mississauga and the GTA before rain rolls in over the weekend and into early next week.

Local residents will wake up to clear skies in the morning in what’s expected to be a cool day temperature wise, according to the latest forecast from Environment Canada.

Winds will be east at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h in the morning hours. A high of 11 degrees Celsius is expected with a UV index of 6 or high.

The clear skies will continue throughout the day and early evening before becoming partly cloudy near midnight. Winds will be east at 20 km/h and gusting to 40 km/h and then becoming light after midnight.

An overnight low of six is expected.

While things will warm up Saturday, it’s expected to be cloudy with a 70 per cent change of showers.
