After a long winter in the barn, it’s time to dance for Daisy and her fellow rescued cows at Farmhouse Garden in Uxbridge, with Mother’s Day the perfect time for the mamas to finally be let out to pasture.

Who let the cows out? Farmhouse Gardens, that’s who.

The cows have been known to gallop and dance out into the field, making it a must-see spectacle, said Farmhouse Garden Executive Director Edith Barbash.

“Watching the animals running to their pasture while the crowd cheers them on is an unforgettable experience,” Barbash added. “And it’s the perfect Mother’s Day outing to make life-long family memories.”

Tickets for the event are $15/person, with children under of 10 free. There will also be vegan food available for purchase, as well as pre-made veggie boxes to feed the animals. All the proceeds will be used to cover animal care costs, including food, bedding, and veterinary services.

Farmhouse Garden Animal Home is an animal sanctuary that started rescuing animals in 2016 when farmer Mike Lanigan decided that he could no longer send the animals on his farm to slaughter. It has since been a place of refuge and compassion for animals, allowing them to live safe, happy lives.

Currently, the sanctuary is home to a herd of cows, a flock of chickens and ducks, a horse and a donkey.
