Aluminum heist leads to $48,000 in stolen goods found and charges after Caledon break-in

Police have charged a pair of men from the Toronto area after some $48,000 in aluminum products were stolen from a business in Caledon.

The break-in happened on Saturday when the OPP says suspects entered a business on Simpson Road in Bolton and made off with goods.

And while the break-and-enter happened on the weekend police said investigators were only notified about the theft on Monday. Images of the suspect vehicle were also captured by a security camera, police said.

Then on Tuesday, the OPP says an officer was on patrol in the Bolton area when they spotted the suspect vehicle with two occupants inside.

Police say a 28-year-old man from Scarborough and a 33-year-old man from Toronto were both arrested and charged with multiple offences.

David Balogh, 28, of Scarborough and Jozsef Toth, 33, of Toronto, have both been charged with one count each of break-and-enter and possession of break-in instruments. Toth also faces two additional counts of fail to comply with probation order.

The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 23 to answer the charges.
