Police in London, Ont. have confirmed that human remains found last weekend in the city are those belonging to an alleged associate of recently slain Hamilton mob boss, Pat Musitano.

On Wednesday (July 22), London Police said in a press release that following a post-mortem examination conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto, the suspected human remains recovered on Sunday, July 19, 2020, have been identified as those of missing person, Grant Edward Norton, of Oxford County.

Norton was reported missing to the Waterloo Regional Police Service by a family member on July 12 — two days after Musitano was gunned down in a parking lot on Plains Road East in Burlington.

Reports say that Norton and Musitano were partners in a hauling business that, in recent years, had fallen into disrepute over claims of illegal dumping and workers’ unpaid wages.

London Police say they became involved in the investigation into Norton’s disappearance when it was confirmed that he was last seen in the city. They have ruled Norton’s death a homicide.

Since then, police say the investigation has led to a residence at 20 Adelaide St. S. in London, where a search and forensic examination is underway.
