Ajax-Pickering, Clarington, Oshawa, and Whitby partner to provide businesses with free Lysol wipes

Businesses throughout Durham Region can pick up free Lysol wipes this morning to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Reckitt, Canada’s Lysol manufacturer, has partnered with the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, Whitby Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce and Clarington Board of Trade to distribute thousands of packages of Lysol wipes from nine a.m, to noon today.
The Oshawa Chamber hopes the initiative contributes “another layer of confidence and security” in supporting safe workplaces and public health.”
The process began in July, when Reckitts asked the chambers if they’d like to participate in the distribution, which will see a tractor-trailer load of wipes handed out.
Feed the Need Durham is also part of the project. They housed the wipes, prepared distribution and will handle pick-up at their headquarters at 371 Marwood Drive in Oshawa.
Feed the Need will distribute any remaining wipes to local emergency food providers and community organizations.
