Air Canada officials say technical problems that impacted baggage delivery and check-in systems at Pearson Airport in Mississauga this afternoon (Feb. 2) have been resolved, but passengers should check their flight status ahead of time just to be sure.

Air Canada and Pearson officials reported shortly after 2 p.m. that “Air Canada is experiencing an intranet outage that is impacting functions such as check-in, baggage delivery and gating.”

Travellers were urged at the time to check in online before leaving for the airport, and that advice from airline officials still applies even though the issue has been sorted out.

“The IT issue affecting our (Pearson Airport) flights is resolved,” Air Canada posted to social media at about 3 p.m.

“We apologize for any delays and appreciate our customers’ patience. Please check your flight’s status and use our mobile and web check-in before going to the airport.”
