After chase, police find Welland driver hiding in attic insulation

A person wanted for driving erratically in Welland was eventually tracked down buried in their attic insulation.

Niagara OPP report that the unidentified driver was first spotted overnight on Highway 406 near Woodlawn Rd.

While the driver was initially able to elude officers, thanks to witnesses, police were led to a home.

Their investigation found the suspect hiding in the attic of the house, wrapped up and buried in the insulation.

The driver now faces a number of charges. The name of the person has not been released by police.
