UPDATE: Active house fire in Brampton leads to road closures

UPDATE: The Brampton Fire and Emergency Services provided an update stating that the fire is under control and that emergency services will stay on-site for a fire watch.


There is an active house fire in Brampton this evening.

Peel Regional Police reported that firefighters were battling an interior blaze near Fairhill Avenue and Baha Crescent shortly after 5 p.m.

Although authorities did not disclose the exact number of individuals inside the home at the time of the incident, fortunately, no injuries were reported from the fire.

The origin of the fire remains unknown.

Police are advising individuals to avoid the area as Fairhill Avenue is currently blocked between Baha Crescent and Lonestar Crescent.

An approximate ETA for when the roadways will reopen has not been provided by the police.
