Snow storm Ontario

More snow is coming to Pickering and Oshawa.

A weather advisory in effect for:

  • Pickering
  • Oshawa
  • Southern Durham Region

The winter weather travel advisory in effect beginning this morning.

There will be heavy snow at times.

The total snowfall accumulations will be 5 to 10 cm expected by this evening.
Peak snowfall rates of 1 to 2 cm per hour is possible. Reduced visibility due to snow and occasional blowing snow.

It will start this morning through this evening.

Southwesterly winds over Lake Ontario is expected to enhance the snowfall rates, especially for areas closer to the lake shore.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
