A Unique Neighbourhood Competition Is Coming To Brampton Soon

Brampton is holding the first-ever Neighbourhood Games soon!
The inaugural 2019 Neighbourhood Games will be held at Rosalea Park on August 24th from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The inaugural 2019 Neighbourhood Games will be held at Rosalea Park on August 24th from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Located at 71 Church Street East, the free event will crown the best resident of Brampton.
“With the goal of fostering togetherness and fun through an active lifestyle, Neighbourhood Games celebrates a community proud of their home and accomplishments through friendly and collaborative competition, building a healthy and inclusive tomorrow for all communities to come together in cooperation,” describes the organizers of the event’s website.
There will be ample free parking at any of the downtown Brampton municipal parking garages. Rosalea Park is also a very short walk from the Downtown Brampton transit and GO Station.
People will compete in a variety of games such as ladder golfing (land bolos on the rungs), frisbee fling (land frisbees in the buckets), bullseye bocce (roll the ball as close as you can to the target), limbo, soccer keep ups, soccer shooting challenge, water balloon toss (stay as dry as you can stay), cricket bat home run derby, 100m dash, 400m generational relay (a race between one runner under 15, one runner over 55, two in between) and 400m international relay (four runners, four different backgrounds).

Neighbourhood Games has been funded by corporate sponsorship partners and the City of Brampton’s Community Grant Program.
