A new major entertainment centre just opened in southern Ontario

A new major entertainment centre just opened in southern Ontario.

The fifth Playdium location in Canada opened at Vaughan Mills this week.

“Conveniently located just north of Toronto at one of Canada’s most visited retail destinations, Playdium Vaughan features more attractions under one roof than any other Playdium location in Canada,” Cineplex, which operates Playdium, said in a press release.

“Designed as a go-to destination for families and teens, Playdium Vaughan brings together games, exciting attractions and food and beverage in one dynamic space.”

It’s more than 24,000 square feet and includes:

• Wall climbing, a ropes course with zip lines, six lanes of augmented reality, duckpin bowl, and a gel blaster experience
• A games floor with more than 85 games
• An elevated lounge space
• Food and beverage options
• And eight private rooms for birthday parties and large group celebrations

Cineplex said the new Playdium has created more than 100 jobs.

The four other Playdiums are located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Brampton, North York, and Whitby.
