A Burlington Taxi Driver Has Been Charged Following Alleged Sexual Assault

A Burlington taxi driver has been charged following an alleged sexual assault.

A Burlington taxi driver has been charged following an alleged sexual assault.

According to a recent Halton Police media release, a follow-up to a release issued on Aug. 8 of this year, on Oct. 25 members of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit concluded their investigation with the identification of the male party responsible for committing the sexual assault.

According to police, Donald Williams, a 75-year-old Burlington man, was arrested and charged with one count of alleged sexual assault.  

The accused was released from custody with a November court date, police say.

Police say, it should be noted that the accused is employed by Burlington Taxi, and met the victim while driving for the company.
