8-bedroom estate sells for $4.7 million in Ontario

A one-of-a-kind 8-bedroom, 11-bath showstopper in Pickering was the most expensive home sold in Durham Region last month, with the custom home selling for $4.725 million.

The home at 1815 Spruce Hill Road in the exclusive Dunbarton community is 7,310 sq. ft. of above-grade living, plus a 3,660 sq. ft. walkout finished basement.

The home boasts an elevator, red oak hardwood floors, 20-foot soaring ceilings in the living room and 12-foot on the main floor and basement, plenty of smart home technology and even a ‘smart’ toilet.

The main floor features an open concept layout with two kitchens and the basement has a gym, sauna, theatre room and playroom. The backyard boasts a covered loggia and a saltwater pool.

The home sold June 3 for $273,000 under asking.

Number two on the list is a 6-bedroom, 7-bath estate in an enclave of multi-million dollar homes on Pickering, just south of Highway 407.

The resort style bungalow at 3395 Sideline 4 has everything a dream home could offer with more than 8,500 sq. ft. of living space, soaring designer ceilings throughout, heated tiles, three Napolean fireplaces, a nanny’s quarters with separate entrance, two kitchens and a basement featuring three walkouts, a home theatre and gym and a 500-bottle climate-controlled wine room.

The estate sold June 13 for $100,000 under asking, though the original asking price in January was $4.5 million.

3395 Sideline 4, Pickering

At number three is a 5-bedroom, 5-bath estate on one of Whitby’s most desirable addresses – 3050 Cochrane Street.

The executive walkout bungalow on a premium ravine lot with Western exposure offers nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of finished luxury living and unforgettable sunset views.

In fourth spot for the most expensive homes sold in June was a 4-bedroom home in the exclusive Wyndance community in Uxbridge.

A perfect blend of sophistication, comfort and elevated design, the home at 53 Country Club Crescent in Uxbridge boasts more than 6,000 sq. ft. of living space, a custom wet bar, top-of-the-line appliances, a resort-style backyard with saltwater pool and all the amenities in the GTA’s most coveted gated communities.

The home sold June 26 for $2,535,000.

Fifth on the list was a 6-bedroom, 7-bath home at 1946 Rosebank Road in Pickering that sold June 24 for $2.2 million.

The luxury custom home boasts a gourmet kitchen, a towering fireplace feature wall that opens to an outdoor deck and a Google Smart home office.
