$70 million lottery ticket sold in Ontario

An Ontario resident could be $70 million richer today.

The winning $70 million Lotto Max draw jackpot ticket was purchased in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, according to the Ontario Lotto and Gaming Corporation (OLG).

“The winner will be revealed when they claim this life-changing windfall through the OLG Prize Centre,”  the OLG press release states.

Hopefully, the person will come forward in the one-year time frame.

Last year, the search for the winner of a $70 million prize made headlines and, sadly, the ticket went unclaimed.

Lotto Max draws are twice a week – on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The latest winning numbers can be found here.

Players can also check their tickets from home on olg.ca, by using the OLG lottery app on their mobile device, signing up on the OLG website for winning number email alerts, or by calling 1-866-891-8946 (toll free).
