This is the last call — the deadline to claim winnings for a $70 million lottery ticket is today (June 28).

As of Wednesday morning, the $70 million lottery prize was still unclaimed.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG) issued an alert in May, hoping the ticket’s owner would come forward by June 28 to claim their $70 million prize. The ticket expires at 10:30 p.m. today.

As with all OLG tickets, customers have one year from the day of the draw to claim the prize.

The ticket was purchased in Scarborough and the winning numbers for the $70 Million Lotto Max jackpot draw on June 28, 2022 are – 8, 19, 22, 41, 42, 46, 47 Bonus 10.

No one has come forward with a physical ticket but the OLG has had over 2,300 calls from people thinking it could have been their ticket that they lost, OLG spokesperson Tony Bitonti told insauga.com.

“We do need to do the due diligence and go through all of those calls and see if there’s a needle in the haystack,” Bitonti said.

They still have about 100 calls to deal with.

OLG has specific information about the ticket. And are more than 400 lottery retailers in Scarborough so with each person, they ask where they bought the ticket.

OLG also asks when they bought the ticket, and what else they bought with the ticket such as Lotto 649, Encore or Quick Pick.

“All those things will help identify that ticket,” Bitoni said.

The OLG is encouraging people to check clothing pockets, glove compartments, sun visors, and office drawers for the ticket.

If the winner doesn’t come forward, this will be the largest unclaimed prize in Canadian lottery history.

“We were hoping not to make the record book but if it does remain unclaimed, then it will be the largest unclaimed lottery jackpot in Canadian history,” Bitoni confirmed.

Right now, the highest unclaimed amount was an August 2021 $15 Lotto Max ticket sold in British Columbia.

The OLG is expected to provide an update tomorrow.

Contact OLG at 1-800-387-0098 if you believe you have the winning ticket.
