A proposed residential complex in Burlington is poised to take the next step in becoming a reality.

The building, located on properties at 276, 284 and 292 Plains Road East, is being recommended for approval by City planners and will go before councillors next week.

Located between Filmandale Road and Shadeland Avenue in Aldershot, the proposal calls for a 7-storey building with 141 living units of one, two and three bedrooms.

If the project proceeds it will also include 153 parking spaces of which 100 will be underground. There will be room for 78 bicycle parking spaces. The top floor will contain the building’s mechanical system and amenity areas for the residents.

Access to the property will be from Plains Road with one driveway on the east side.

Unoccupied homes on the site have been used in the past for office and commercial purposes.

There will be a public meeting to discuss the project further during a May 13 council committee meetingat 9:30 a.m.

That meeting will take place at Burlington City Hall. It can also be viewed online at www.burlington.ca.

Details on how he can speak at the meeting can be found here.
