A half-dozen hand santizer products have been recalled by Health Canada since they contain “elevated levels” of methanol.

The affected Nomad Hand Sanitizers products were sold by the Rocky Mountain Soap Company. The recall encompasses the jasmine, lavender, lemongrass scent-free, scent-free, summertime and winter cheer versions. The products should no longer be used and anyone who has used it, and has health concerns, should consult a health care professional.

Customers can follow municipal or regional guidelines on how to dispose of chemicals and other hazardous waste. They can also return the product to a local pharmacy for proper disposal.
