Where’s the beef? That’s what police are asking after an empty semi-trailer wound up in Mississauga minus the beef cargo.

The hamburger heist started in Puslinch, a community south of Guelph, on Sept. 5, said Wellington County OPP.

Around 3 a.m. someone stole a 53′ semi-trailer from a yard near Brock Road South in Puslinch.

The trailer was later recovered in Mississauga minus the contents.

“The load, approximately $50,000 worth of 1/4lb beef patties, is still outstanding,” OPP said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Or make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips.

You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
