March Break is just around the corner and the Town of Milton has several family-fun ways to keep residents entertained.

Here are a few ideas for activities that families can add to their March Break to-do lists this year.

Go Skating

Even though the end of winter may seem to be nearing, going for a skate is always a good idea. Drop-in skating is available at the Milton Sports Centre and Sherwood Community Centre. The Town also offers various drop-in hockey programs such as shinny or Stick ‘N Puck.

Parks and Trails

As the weather warms up and the snow starts to melt, March Break is a great time to visit one of Milton’s many parks and trails, dog parks or sports fields.

Residents may also view Milton’s trails and bike paths using the Town’s interactive mapping tool.

Support a Local Restaurant

March Break is a great opportunity to visit a local establishment and try new food or beverages. There are several restaurants along Main St. that make great date spots or places for family-friendly outings.

Visit the Farmers’ Market

The winter version of the Milton Farmers’ Market takes place every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will run until Apr 30, 2022.

This is a great one-stop shop for fresh local products including fruit, meats, homemade sauces, baked goods, flowers, popcorn and more.

Go for a Bike Ride

The Fix, powered by Velofix, is a full-service bike shop in Milton that enables residents to rent bikes.

It is also the rental bike provider for track cycling activities that take place at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.

Those who don’t have access to a bicycle can visit the shop to pick up a rental and take it for a ride along one of Milton’s trails.
