5 Boxing Day Sales Across Mississauga

It's that time of year again! The time when tiny, bespectacled children and elderly grandmothers with walkers are trampled underfoot as people stampede towards discounted DVDs and toilet paper.
While we recently fully welcomed Black Friday to our neck of the woods, Boxing Day has always been a consumerist extravaganza for Canadian shoppers and there are a lot of great deals to be had this year.
Here are five places to check out for some great Boxing Day deals!
With a ton of new stores and restaurants, Square One will be the place to be this holiday season—especially since the vast shopping centre is now home to The Rec Room, The Food District, Indigo and more. The list of retailers and restaurants offering promotions is here. What deals do you not want to miss? At Aldo, everything is on sale from now until Dec. 29. Other stores offering deals include Carter’s/Oshkosh (50 per cent off), Swimco (20 per cent off everything), Coach and Arvinda’s in The Food District.
The shopping centre will open at 8:00 a.m. and remain open until 9:00 p.m.
Erin Mills Town Centre, the mall known for its very expensive (and very beautiful) reno, is a great place to hit on Boxing Day because its retailers are offering a host of excellent deals and the mall is very close to Indigo (which also has its fair share of deals ready to go). The mall will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., so you have lots of time to shop. Some retailers offering sweet deals include Aldo, SoftMoc and La Vie en Rose.
Since Heartland is a sprawling outdoor shopping district rather than a mall, deals may vary. In terms of specific Boxing Day deals, the Centre’s stores are offering a range of Boxing Day and Boxing Week promotions, all of which you can find here. Some interesting deals worth checking out? Adidas (50 per cent off the entire store), Aldo (all products are on sale), and Globo Shoes (25 per cent off all regular-priced merchandise).
Small Stores and Malls
If you want to support more local retailers, check out Shop the Neighbourhood. It'll let you know what's happening with smaller stores in Mississauga. In terms of smaller malls, if you shop at Sheridan Centre, you might be happy to know that a few stores are offering holiday and Boxing Day deals. If you stop into Ricki’s on Dec. 24, you can check out its Boxing Day preview and enjoy discounts of up to 50 per cent store-wide.
If you're a big Dixie Outlet Mall enthusiast, you'll be happy to know that the mall has a few Boxing Day deals on tap. The mall will open up at 8:00 a.m. and you can see the promos here. Promos include deals at Urban Planet (up to 80 per cent off), Sirens (up to 80 per cent off), Urban Kids (up to 80 per cent off) and Bench.
