20 splash pads open in Oakville to battle the summer heat

With summer in full swing and heat alerts in effect across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), residents are encouraged to visit the Town’s splash pads to cool off.

The Town has a total of 20 splash pads located throughout Oakville.

Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the exception of parks that are adjacent to a school.

These splash pads are open from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and during regular hours on weekends.

The following splash pad locations are currently open to the public:

  • Forster Park, 100 North Forster Park Drive
  • Fowley Park, 95 Fowley Drive
  • Heritage Way Park, 1659 Heritage Way
  • Isaac Park, 3086 Isaac Avenue
  • Martindale Park, 240 Martindale Avenue
  • Millbank Park, 166 Glenashton Drive
  • Munn’s Creek Park, 153 River Oaks Boulevard West
  • Nautical Park, 355 Nautical Boulevard
  • Neyagawa Park, 540 River Glen Boulevard
  • Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre, 325 Reynolds Street
  • Old Abbey Lane Park, 1110 Old Abbey Lane
  • Pine Glen Park, 1482-1520  Pine Glen Road
  • Postridge Park, 400 Postridge Drive
  • Sixteen Hollow Park, 2140 Westoak Trails
  • Valleybrook Park, 1150 Valleybrook Drive
  • Valleyridge Park, 2524 Valleyridge Drive
  • West Oak Trails Park, 2860 West Oak Trails Boulevard
  • William Rose Park, 455 Wheat Boom Drive

Residents are reminded that pets are not allowed on the splash pad and playground areas and that all children must have adult supervision at all times.

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult and swim diapers are required for all children under the age of four.

Swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times and footwear/sandals are strongly recommended.

No food or beverages, glass containers, breakable objects, skateboards, roller blades, bicycles or scooters are allowed on the splash pad.
