$2.5 million lottery jackpot was just won in this part of Ontario

On the same night someone won $34 million from the Lotto 6/49 gold ball draw, a $2.5 million jackpot was also won in a different lottery game.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation told INsauga.com that the Lottario jackpot grew to $2,512,670.80 for Saturday’s draw.

And a ticket purchased in Norfolk County matched six out of six numbers to take home the big prize.

An Encore ticket in the Lottario draw also won $1 million. That ticket was sold in Etobicoke, the OLG said.

The Lottario jackpot starts at $250,000 and grows until it’s won.

The game is played once weekly and costs $1 per play.
