Peel Police received a call shortly after 6 a.m. this morning (Oct. 9) following a transit bus being on fire near the Glen Erin and Aquitaine area.

The bus was evacuated and there were no injuries, according to police.

Shortly around 7 a.m. Peel Regional Police tweeted that southbound Glen Erin from Aquitaine was blocked.

Police say the cause of the fire was due to the buses’ exhaust but that everything is okay now.

We will provide more details as they become available.
