Snow plow operator dead after medical episode in Ajax, Ontario

More than 40 cm of snow may slam part of Ontario this week

A snow plow operator died after suffering a medical episode on an Ajax residential street Wednesday afternoon.

Durham Police responded to Beck Crescent and Chambers Drive just after 3 p.m. Wednesday where a 36-year-old man was found stopped against a snowbank.

Officers attempted life saving measures after the driver was found without vital signs. The man was taken to Ajax-Pickering Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of this collision appears to be medical related, police said. The DRPS Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the collision, along with the coroner’s office.
